About the Start! Heart Walk The Las Vegas Start! Heart Walk is a 5K, walk and 5k run that brings together companies to fight heart disease and stroke. Although you can register to walk as an individual, we recommend you join a team at your company. It provides friendly competition and a reason to get fit and train for the walk. It also creates a reason to band together with your co-workers for a common cause.
February is American Heart Month Mothers, daughters, sisters, aunts — everyday women are dying at the rate of almost one per minute. Speak up and make a difference! Show your support by wearing red on Friday, February 5th, National Wear Red Day. It’s an easy and powerful way to raise awareness of cardiovascular disease and stroke. Start! your team and brainstorm for early fundraising for your Heart Walk team and get ahead of cardiovascular disease by building healthier lives! All your donations from National Wear Red Day will not only support your team but will also specifically fund the Go Red For Women Campaign.
